The plot (the rough version for now)

1. Charred legion is simply known as the mighty legion at the time.
2. Orcs, goblins, and trolls and ogres are still rather good, and live on a mantra of honour and strength.
3. Along comes a challenger to the throne, gets beaten but doesn’t get killed. Leads to the challenger being laughed out of the fortress.
4. The challenger then accepts aid of a powerful arch mage (who’s actually a demon).
5. With the aid of the arch mage he wins the battle. Corrupted by the arch mage he launches an assault and assimilates the goblins into the mighty legion.
6. Angered by this the High elf council send a message to all the available nations.
7. The desert king answers, and manages to beat back the forces of the Mighty legion but with heavy losses. The desert king lacks the men to continue and reinforcements are months away.
8. The arch mage takes advantage of the Orc leader in his rage and uses him to help summon up a portal to the depths of the planet.
9. The portal opens, unleashing more demons; the arch mage is now twice as powerful.
10. Realising he’s been tricked the Orc leader makes one last sacrifice and destroys the portal. While a few demons did get through not all of them make it.
11. Angered by this the arch demon (who was the arch mage) curses the Orcs forever.
12. The desert king then makes an attempt to push on, which also further infuriates the Arch demon. In retaliation he splits the king into five different people, and splits the kingdom of the desert king into five places.
13. Horrified by this the nations of the world ready themselves for battle.
14. The elves are the first to suffer; using deceit and spies the Arch demon starts an Elven civil war.
15. With the elves in civil war the other nations begin to concoct a plan regarding a special island, (located roughly at the centre of where the special continent is).
16. Once again using spies the Arch Demon discovers this, and quickly rushes over there as well.
17. Using magic at the lost temple located on the island, a god is summoned. The god battles the arch demon, wins but then issues one final curse. The god is split into millions of pieces, known as Ethereals.
18. The Rest of the demons are imprisoned, the united species council is created. The elves remain one kingdom but the Northern one is much different. The island also sank and formed a new continent, battle scarred and ruined. It’s corrupt by dark forces.
19. The mighty legion has become the charred legion, now dark and deadly. It holds onto a part of the special continent and keeps its stronghold on Duhastur. The charred legion has also started to lick its wounds like the rest of the races.
20. Then, much later on in history, at the current time, a demon has somehow been released. It sets course to Duhastur, intent on finishing what the Arch demon started.
